Even though you can find countless of amazing affirmations that resonates with you, it is always helpful to know how to create your own kickass affirmations. You can either choose some affirmations that resonate with you and tweak them a little to best fit your situation, or you can create your kickass affirmations from scratch.
When you create your kickass affirmations it allows you to customize your affirmations to fit your life, your goals, and what you are trying to accomplish in your life.
KICKASS TIP #1 – Always keep your affirmations positive
The number one key to creating your own kickass affirmation is to NEVER say anything negative about yourself.
Always keep it positive. Refuse to use any negative words in your affirmations. For example, if you are trying to lose some pounds, don’t say I am struggling to LOSE weight, I need to LOSE some weight.
This means you are coming from a place of lack. You have to talk about the way you want to be, not the way you are. You have to call the things that are not as if they already were.
Instead of saying I have some weight to lose, say:
- I am healthy
- I am vibrant
- I am strong
- I am getting better and better
- I am moving toward my ideal weight
- I am kicking some ass
KICKASS TIP #2 – Always write in present tense
You want your affirmations to be in present tense, as if it already is; as if it already exists; you already have it; it has already happened; it is a done deal. Even if you are working towards a goal or a better you, you don’t want to affirm “I WANT this or that”, this is again coming from a place of lack and believing you don’t have it. The secret to affirmations is in believing that you already have it, it has already happened.
You become whatever you focus upon! If you focus on lack you are inviting more lack into your experience. If you focus on abundance, abundance comes looking for you.
When you are creating and repeating your kickass affirmations always pay attention to how it feels. Your feelings are your most powerful guidance.
KICKASS TIP #3 –Always keep it short and snappy
Your affirmations should always be short, concise, and to the point. Keep it short and simple. No need to use unnecessary words or verbiage. You want to memorize it so you can repeat it over and over again.
When creating your kickass affirmations always write down whatever comes to you using the simple tips mentioned above:
- Always in the present tense
- Always positive
- Always short and to the point
Repeat
Then repeat your affirmations to yourself and then read them out loud. You can close your eyes and repeat them a few times or you can say them out loud in front of a mirror. Remember to always pay attention to how they feel. This is very important. If you feel some tightness in your chest this can be an indication of resistance or maybe your affirmation needs a little bit of a tweak here and there, or perhaps you need to shorten your affirmation a bit.
Practice
Practice playing with your affirmations, make them your own, freakn’ own them, and have some fun while you are at it. There is no right or wrong way of doing this. There are no specific rules or what time or where you should do your affirmations, and there is no need to set an exact amount of time. All you have to do is say them as often as you feel you need to, and pay attention to how you feel, you will know when you’ve hit some momentum because you will feel it in every single cell of your being.
Affirmations are really powerful. Whatever follows your “I AM” determines what kind of life you live. Be very conscious of the “I AM’s” that come out of your mouth for these will bring either abundance or scarceness.
The more you tell yourself how amazing and blessed you are, how unique and one of kind you are, and how you deserve to live the life of your dreams, the more your subconscious will begin to feel it—and once you start feeling it, you are well on the way to attract all those amazing things in your life.
